Annyeonghaseyo ! (It means “hello” in Korean) It has been a long time since I last made a blog post and one of the reasons was that I had a short break in the wonderful world of amazing called South Korea !!!!
On October 5, we left for Seoul, Korea around 1pm via Korean Air. By 5pm, we arrived Incheon Airport and started embracing the cold and tolerable weather. Good thing I was able to bring lots of long sleeves, pants and rubber shoes to be able to walk around Korea properly. Also, it usually takes an hour to reach the city. Due to the traffic, we were able to reach the hotel (N. Four Seasons) around 7pm.
And that was basically my first night in the amazing South Korea.
First Actual Day – October 6, 2015
I considered the next day to be our “first” day because that was the time we started going around Korea. For this day, I dedicate this adventure to the amazing Nami Island. Going to Nami Island was a breeze for us since my dad’s korean friend was the one who toured us around Korea and offered to drive us to Nami Island. By land, it will usually take you 2 hrs to reach your destination so I really suggest you allot your schedule as not to waste time.
Nami Island (known as Namiseom) is a half moon shaped island that was named after the late General Nami – he fought in a brave battle during the Joseon dynasty. Nami Island is very well known in the korean drama, Winter Sonata. This drama is very famous, especially in the Philippines. If you pass by Nami Island, you will suddenly remember the scenes that happened in this drama.
Tip : You can opt to take the shuttle tour, take a walk or rent a bike. But trust me, it seems more fun & fulfilling when you rent a bike. (…and I shall do that when I get the chance to go back to Korea)
