Hello guys ! I am truly sorry for not being able to update my blog. The whole month of December, January and weeks of Februarywere hectic. Before I could officially start, I would just want to greet each and every one of you a BELATED MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!
The few weeks of January was really hectic for me since I had to do preparations for my very first solo travel ! Woot woot !! Although it was a free travel plus I was with other people(sponsored by my company, Philam Life), I still consider this as a first solo travel since I am not with my parents plus I sort of had my freedom as a traveler.
Since I was able to reach my quota, the free travel that Philam Life gave me was a trip to Macau ! But, this trip is not your ordinary leisure trip. This trip also has learnings called AIA MDRT EXPERIENCE 2015. AIA is an insurance company widely known around the world. AIA is the mother company of Philam Life, thus we were given the chance to have free travels + learnings sponsored by AIA.
Since there were many financial advisers who attended the MDRT Experience, we were separated into two flights. Option 1 was the flight from MNL – HK then ride a ferry going to Macau (usually Generation Y and young adults were the ones who were placed in this flight). Option 2 was the MNL-MACAU flight (prioritized the adults who were in their 50’s/60’s). All of these flights left on the same day, January 18 but different time schedule. In option 1, our flight that time was at 8:10am and expected to arrive HK around 10:15am. Option 2’s flight was at 1:30pm, on the other hand.
I am truly thankful that Philam Life and AIA were able to give me the opportunity to learn new learnings that can be applied in our everyday lives. I learned alot from the different speakers that went up the stage and shared their stories. I learned that you should always believe in yourself, no matter how tough the situation may be. I also learned that it takes practice in order to be the best in the field that you would want to pursue in. I only had limited time though to roam around the small city of Macau. It is all because of this free travel that motivates me to strive harder to achieve more free travels in the future. Here’s to AIA and Philam Life!
