Appreciating Art – Metropolitan Museum of Manila

September 30, 2014

I actually enjoy looking at artworks. But, if you let me apply this during class discussions, then this is where I start to have a hard time. I’m the type of person that would love to see paintings rather than talk about it with art connoisseurs.

So last Saturday, thanks to my dear friend, we were able to visit this art museum located in Manila called MET Musuem (Metropolitan Museum). Upon arriving the place, we thought that it won’t be that pretty since the outside looked old. But I was wrong. Upon entering the place, there were lots of artworks in different forms and styles. If you really love looking at artworks, this place will be pure heaven for you. We paid 100php for the entrance fee and you can stay as long as you want inside the musuem.

These type of artworks, I believe, will let this generation surely appreciate art. People in this generation would prefer to go to modern musuems but I think they have forgotten that our country can produce great artworks as well.
